through Legation of applications for arms "huchaos").
Italian Government stated categorically last September
that export is not permitted unless agreed to by Chinese
Government, and there is no evidence here to support Messrs.
Jardine's allegations in this connexion.
Can statement that French firms apply for "huchaos"
Before considering
through their Legation be confirmed?
